Yutaka Ohno, Associate Professor

He recieved the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Nagoya University in 1995, 1997, and 2000, respectively. His Ph.D. dissertation investigated resonant-tunneling phenomena and the optoelectronic-functional devices in 2-D and 0-D semiconductors heterostructures.
He worked for one year as a Research Scientist of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science when he was a graduate student. He was a research associate from 2000 and an assistant professor from 2002 of the Department of Quantum Engineering, Nagoya University. He became an associate professor in 2008. He was also a Research Scientist of Japan Science and Technology Agency from 2004 to 2007. He worked on GaN-HEMT devices from 2000 to 2004. Currently, he is involved in the explorations of electron transport and optical dynamics in carbon nanotubes, and fabrication and characterization of carbon nanotube FETs and optoelectronic devices.
He is a member of the Japan Society of Applied Physics, the Physical Society of Japan, and the Fullerenes and Nanotubes Research Society.
